
Marcia Jansen is a Broker with 35 years of experience. She has been featured on multiple episodes of HGTV and has the designation of Eco-Broker, recognized for promoting energy efficient, environmentally friendly and green building techniques.
She originally hails from Yardley, PA and earned her B.S. degree from Temple University. After graduating, Marcia taught at Bucks County Community College, then went on to become a Teaching Fellow at Smith College, while completing her M.S. in Dance and Physical Education. She subsequently taught at Springfield College before accepting a position as Dean of Students at Northfield Mount Hermon School in MA. Later on, she attained another graduate degree in Psychology at Antioch New England University.
Marcia lives in Cape Elizabeth with her partner and their cat, Lyra. In her free time, she enjoys playing USTA league tennis and coaching the sport at Waynflete High School and Middle School. Marcia has a heart-felt appreciation towards the importance of community by getting to know her neighbors, supporting local businesses, and fully enjoying the unique characteristics that make a small town a special place to live. She actively volunteers for the Fort Williams Blue Bird Project to bring back the species to the area. She also has been part of a rescue team for stranded seals with Marine Mammals of Maine. With her creative endeavors always in the forefront, Marcia has expanded her real estate services to include real estate photography as well.
