Meet Carol Ann Doucette, your Lakes Region and Greater Portland specialist with over 3 decades of experience. Carol Ann moved to the Lakes Region several years ago. Because of that move, her life’s direction and passion changed dramatically. While living on Little Sebago Lake, she became involved with the Little Sebago Lake Association as it’s past president. With the spread of the invasive plant, milfoil on Little Sebago she helped work on efforts to obtain federal funding for mitigation for the state of Maine, the result being a $500,000 grant to help control the spread of milfoil within the state. She is currently the board chair for the Cumberland County Soils and Water District. Protecting the soil and water within the county through education is always foremost in all that she does. Believing in giving back to the community, she consistently donates a portion of her commission to the Good Shepherd Food Bank, to help fight hunger in Maine and the Vieques Puerto Rico Humane Society & Animal Rescue who work with a shoestring budget to help abandoned animals on that island.
